EP Finance Forecast · for associations and clubs

Know your club’s cash, months ahead.

Membership fees, class fees, grants and events coming in. Teachers, room hire and insurance going out. One grid shows where your bank balance is heading, month by month.

The treasurer’s question

Will there still be enough in the bank when the grant arrives late and the teachers still need paying? Forecast answers it on the first screen, in one sentence.

Set up in nine questions

The first time you open it, Forecast asks nine plain questions, one at a time, and builds your grid from the answers. Choose “An association or club” and it suggests the lines clubs use: membership fees, class and course fees, grants from the council, the region or national bodies, event takings, donations, teachers and staff, room hire, insurance and performing rights. Clubs and schools often run from September to August, so it asks when your year starts.

Months ahead

Each starts from the same month last year, or your average. Type over any of them and every later month updates.

A cushion

Set the least you want in the bank. Any month that would close below it turns amber.

The full year

A total column at the end of each year, for the whole year.

Try it before you decide

What if the grant arrives three months late? What if you take on another teacher in January? What if new chairs are paid over twelve months? Each what-if becomes its own row under the grid, so you can switch it off and compare.

Spot what is slipping

A month that is well above or below its usual turns amber or red, and you can leave a note to say why. Regular payments lists every direct debit and subscription, with new ones and price rises at the top. Payment methods shows how much still comes in by cheque and cash.
